From 27 Oct – 3 Nov, Universiti Kuala Lumpur British Malaysian Institute with her partner from Sulawesi Indonesia, Politeknik Negeri Ujung Pandang came together to create a first joint lecture collaboration.

The event had the support of UniKL UIO and UniKL BMI International Partnership Unit seeing distinguished lecturers from both universities delivered eye opening and interesting topics such as; ‘Seawater Intrusion in Coastal Aquifer’ by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sugiarto Badarudin and ‘Cyber Security for Businesses’ by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Irfan syamsuddin from Politeknik Negeri Ujung Pandang.  From UniKL BMI, our prominent lecturers are senior lecturer Pn. Norida Kamaruddin and Pn. Maziatul Husni who delivered classes which are not just entertaining but also have wide practical uses on business innovation titled ‘Ideas for life’ and ‘Monroe’s Motivated sequence’ for persuasive speech respectively.

The programme was hosted by UniKL BMI students and from UniKL International Partnership, I would like to say my appreciation to our partner Politeknik Negeri Ujung Pandang for their contributions and to say kudos to UniKL BMI students committee who had worked hard to make this event a success.

 

✈ *BONJOUR, FRANCE!* ✈… This was the tagline used to promote a sharing session on a between UniKL British Malaysian Institute and our partner University of Limoges, France on the 16th December 2021.

The programme is to share with UniKL students regarding an international spring semester on ‘Electrical Engineering and System Control’ starting *Spring 1st February 2022 until 31st May 2022*. The programme was hosted by UniKL BMI students and saw our Dean, Assoc. Prof Dr Kushairy Abdul Kadir as a speaker promoting the International Students Exchange Mobility programme to Limoges, France. Our counterpart, Dr. Delia Arnaud is the head of engineering faculty at ENSIL and also the coordinator for the students exchange mobility programme at the University of Limoges.

Through MS teams, Dr. Delia Arnaud shared various topics on the application to the university and things to expect during the applicants stay in France. Our dean also shared that there will be partial sponsorship for those who are interested to join the programme. The session saw many of UniKL students are interested to go to Limoges and asked many questions regarding the programme.

Overall, the sharing session was very appealing and managed to attract curios students to consider studying abroad through UniKL BMI ISEM.
